So Very Loved One,
I want you. Not your self willed efforts. Not your cleaned up version, hoping for acceptance. Not your promises to do better, again and again.
I want you, your thoughts, your fears, your failures, your treasures, your questions, your past, your present, your future. All of you.
You were never made to pray to Me as if I were far away. You were made to walk with Me, know Me, and share in My life, not as a servant hidden in the shadows, but as My friend, My companion, My beloved.
The servant doesn’t know what his master is doing, but I have called you friends. (John 15:15). I call you “philos,” friend. It means someone I love dearly. Someone I enjoy. Someone I draw close to and keep close. That’s how I see you. That’s how it’s always meant to be between us.

GOD MADE HIMSELF KNOWN
It is brilliant that God sent the Message of who He is as a Man. Jesus came in human form so that we could connect with God, want to connect with God, and understand God.
God made Himself knowable in two ways: through Jesus, the human connection of God whom we could physically see and touch, and through the Spirit sent at Pentecost, the inner connection and witness who makes Him known to us, spirit to spirit.

JESUS BROUGHT US TO THE FATHER
Jesus came as a human to deal with humanity’s problem and bring us freely to the realm of the Father, walking in relationship again.

KNOWING HIM CHANGES HOW WE APPROACH HIM
If we do not believe God is good and kind toward us, we can remain in fear and feel unworthy. We keep hiding. The Gospel gives us another way to see Him: good, kind, present, and inviting us to know Him.
Fear → Confidence
Hiding → Trust
Unqualified → Qualified by the Father

God makes Himself known.
Receive What God Is Showing You.
The Spirit of God is given as a witness within us of who He is. We need to believe He is willing to make Himself known.
As we receive His love, care, comfort, shelter, and wisdom, we learn to live from relationship instead of fear.
No More Hostility. No More Division.
Jesus came, the Holy Spirit came, and God came to release us from the curse. In Christ, division no longer defines our standing before God.
One in Christ
To Know God Is to Love God.
God wants love back. As we come to know His love, care, comfort, shelter, and wisdom, we cannot help but fall in love with Him too.
